The art of procrastination

I'm going to hold my hands up and admit that this post is all part of the master procrastination I'm doing today.

I need to set up some spreadsheets as part of my business setup. I HATE spreadsheets, I am rubbish at them, they're boring and they never behave the way I want them to.

So far today it's been imperative that I beat my score on a game I'm playing at the moment, I've cleaned a mark on the carpet, put a wash on, sent some emails, done a tweet and done a post on LinkedIn.

Sadly I'm running out of things to do. The spreadsheet is looming like a looming thing.

..... Oh I just spotted that the light switch needs a clean I'll do that before I get on with the spreadsheet.

On the subject of lights actually, we just got some of those lightbulbs that emulate daylight. We've been spending so much time in the house all of our eyes have started to go screwy. Apparently this has been happening to loads of people because if you're not travelling to work every day all the light around you is artificial and everything you're doing is close up. You're not using your eye muscles to look into the distance whilst driving etc.

It's definitely making a difference - but the lightbulbs are going to have to last a very long time because they were surprisingly expensive. That said, no matter what lightbulb I buy it always seems surprisingly expensive.

Ok, I know that was boring, but I really needed to avoid that spreadsheet for a while longer. I'll go and clean the light switch and then get down to it. It's not like anybody is going to do it for me (darn it).
