Yes, I know it's officially summer, but at long last it feels like spring. I hate socks and so try to wear them as little as possible. I've lived in bed socks all winter (sexy I know), but they have gone away until at least September. Whoop.
Garden isn't quite at it's best point. In a couple of weeks hundreds of bluebells will come out and doubtless I'll share a picture. The only problem is now I have to do something about the fence. Last summer one of my neighbours obliterated a piece of the fence so there was a gap between their garden and mine. Then one day I found them in MY garden cutting all the ivy off MY fence. I KNOW!!!!!!!!!
They literally couldn't see the problem with this either. Looked at me as if I was a space Alien when I freaked. It's left a long (and potentially expensive) fence looking absolutely raddled. They did it to the neighbours on the other side too - worse there though because it turns out under the ivy was one of those fences a bit like a tennis court. So not only does it look ghastly, but you can see right into the garden.
That matters around here because our houses are built into a hill. So the picture you see with this post is actually taken from one of the top windows of our house. 3 storeys up. It means that we suffer from lack of privacy at the back - if you're on the lawn you're in full view of the entire neighbourhood. Basically we never use the back garden because you need crampons to get up there!
Anyway, winter clothes have gone away - today I'm like a swan - not elegant and graceful with a long neck - a vision of 2 halves. On my top half I have a black polo so I look nice and smart for any work video calls. On the bottom half I have a very jazzy pair of harem trousers - and, as mentioned, bare feet.
I quite like this working from home thing. I think I'll expand my line of harem trousers - I'm very fond of them - not that they do much for my tummy - make me look about 40 stone - but that's what long baggy tops are for huh!
On excitement levels for this week....... absolutely nothing has happened. Couldn't have been more boring. I'll see if I can shake it up this weekend. Not quite sure what 'shake it up' actually means any more. I can't remember what I used to do...... honestly - no idea!
Quick update..... BEDSOCKS BACK ON
