It's going to be one of THOSE days

I just know that today is going to be a rubbish day.

Yesterday I spotted the sycamore trees at the end of the garden were in trouble. There's a row of them - their roots are important - they stop the area behind them from sliding down a hill and demolishing our house. As a result they are protected. I don't mind this I love them.

The new leaves started to come out - they've gone straight from budding leaves to death. You can see that whilst the rest of the garden is lush and green the trees at the back look like winter.

Looking online it's likely to be a fungal infection. I'm not sure how terminal it is. I hope they don't have to be cut down - I love trees. Also there is a road on the other side and it means that every time a double decker bus goes by or a horse rider they will be staring into our house.

We have lots of horse riders around here - it's that sort of area - on the other side of the road are huge swathes of livery. At the top of the hill to the left is the local racecourse. As a result saying 'the horse riders will be staring into my house' is actually not as unlikely as it sounds. It is in fact very likely.

I've also woken up to rain and cold weather again. Please tell me summer wasn't 3 days long. It's absolutely freezing.

Then on top of that - I normally wake up at about 5am - today I woke up at 7.15am. This is not as great as it sounds. I'm simply not able to cope with waking up having a coffee and starting work. Which is what I am about to do in just a few minutes.

So today sucks.......... already and it's only 8.27.

PAH!

Just a quick note before I start work. Have you tried 'what 3 words' yet. This is a location system that means people can identify where you are if you give them 3 key words. Yesterday i double checked what they were for my house. It's actually really funny. I'm not going to tell you exactly what they were for my house but they made me laugh out loud (literal LOL). The local seafront is: sectors.fencing.repelled -  which paints a lovely picture (not).

Some of the words for my house made me wonder if a serial killer used to live here (or maybe they are talking about me). I'm not sure how it chooses the words - maybe a bit of investigation needed. Anyway if you're interested in your location take a look at what3words.com
