Nearly a disaster!

Oh wowzer that was close!

Nearly gave son a night to remember.

There's a school trip to Stomp on Thursday night. One of the mum's has arranged for some of the boys to go out for a pizza beforehand.

As the show is in the same town I live in I assumed that it was at our local version of this pizza chain.

I've spent days trying to work out the logistics of how to get son from school (which is in the next town), to the centre of our town - then get him to the restaurant - and all for 4.45pm! (when I'm still working).

So I just said to husband we need to talk logistics tonight. He asked why and I explained.

He said "Why are they going to our town when the minibus that's taking them to the show is picking them up in the town where he goes to school?".

Now this, I thought, was a good question, so I asked the obvious question of the mum - 'Which Pizza place are they going to'. She said the one next to the school!

I was one day away from dropping son off at a restaurant and leaving quickly - in the wrong town!

Now that would have been a memorable evening.

And the chaos continues - so I have to add to this blog. Before lunch I was waiting on HR and the person was busy - so I put a message on Teams to say 'just taking dog for walk, will let you know when I'm back'.

After dog walk I duly left message saying 'bums on seat and waiting for call'.

I carried on with my work....... about half an hour later I checked Teams as hadn't heard anything. I'd left the message in a thread I was having with IT Helpdesk!!!!! Needless to say I deleted message quickly - not sure if they'd seen it - they were certainly reluctant to have a conversation with me about my 'bums'.......

AND THEN making contact with a member of my team who is off sick, we're trying to find a good way to stay in touch. They suggested WhatsApp. So I duly sent an opening WhatsApp message............. 'WhatsApp - Hellooooooooooooooo'. The only problem was once I'd sent it I realised that autocorrect had changed the message to..........

Whatsapp hello poo

There is definitely somebody up there stirring my life with a shitty stick today!
