A bit too much of a tan!

Firstly, back all better now - yay!

I don't mind admitting I'm menopausal - we all get older and this is part of it. On the whole I'm doing pretty ok and thought I was getting away with the worst of it. I have no hot sweats - or at least I do, but they are few and far between and the other litany of horrors haven't shown up... yet.

However, over the past couple of months I've been looking at my hairline - just above my fringe. At first I thought it was my grey roots showing through - but obviously it's got worse and now I realise that my hairline is thinning out! Basically I'm getting a receding hairline. HORRORS!

I've purchased some special shampoo and was looking for other solutions when I stumbled across makeup for your hair. Specifically for this problem. Whilst it will not resolve the problem (hopefully the shampoo will), it at least helps me cover up my problem in the meantime.

It's a small pot of powder. You basically pat it over the offending area and it darkens it so the problem is less obvious.

So this morning for the first time I duly got my makeup brush out and filled in the area. I was thrilled with the result. It took quite a bit of powder, but it did the trick.

Hairline done I put on the rest of my makeup - which always finishes with a brush over of bronzer (I definitely look better without my sallow natural skin colour).

Horror of horrors, the hair powder was completely embedded in the brush.

Now my skin is white, well normally - in seconds my face had turned the colour of the powder. I tried everything I could to wash it off and nothing was working. On the plus side, I don't need to worry about the rain washing the powder off my hairline.

In the end I needed to completely cover my face with soap and give it a good scrub and even then I had to use a towel to was the residue off!

Hey ho!
