Well the clocks changed at the weekend and so it's now officially Spring. A few of the trees have blossom on them, so they think it's Spring as well.
Unfortunately, the weather doesn't seem to agree with them and it's still piddling with rain. What a wet winter this has been. On a positive note I think that fixing the tile on the roof at the front has sorted the leak as it doesn't seem to have got any worse. Though we need to wait until it warms up a bit because it's hard to tell if the ceiling in the sun room is cold or damp. We haven't had any drips or anything though.
Last week was not terribly exciting - well not at all exciting really. I did loads of overtime for work and so by Friday I felt like an empty shell. I'm going to take it a bit more gently this week because I was so shattered by Friday I didn't achieve a great deal - which rather made all the overtime leading up to Friday pointless!
I mentioned the rain - it's not a constant thing - it's a dog walk thing. Literally it can be sunny all morning and then when it's time to take the dog out at lunchtime it starts to piddle with rain. We got 'the call' to say that the next batch of magazines and leaflets for son's job had turned up. So we finished the last lot and then had to go and collect the next lot and do our deliveries.
I'm all done with the ones I take responsibility for, but husband and son have barely started the ones they do. Though we have longer evenings now the clocks have changed so it will be easier for them to do. That said son has a 'fun' run at school tomorrow so he'll not be in the mood for doing much walking around in the evening.
According to son - not one of his friends is going into school on 'fun' run day. All of their lovely parents are letting them take the day off. Personally I don't believe a word of it and he'll be going in and having loads of 'fun' whilst he runs!
Who came up with the concept of putting the word 'fun' in front of the word 'run'. I wonder if they sit down in the evening and eat 'outstaning' offal or 'charming' chick peas! I think not!
So once again life is far to boring to really report much this week. Last week was all about work and at the weekend the most exciting thing I did was cook a roast - I mean life on the edge or what.
We had quite a full house on Saturday night as the promise of a roast will usually make people turn up at the front door. So there are not masses amounts of left overs for the week - which is actually a good thing.
Apart from the thrill of cooking a roast (whoopdy doo), most of the rest of the weekend was spent delivering leaflets. Though I did find some time to treat myself and curl up on the sofa - I found a new series (new for me) - called 'The Cleaner'. I absolutely loved it. As it was new for me I had a whole series to catch up on - so I had a bit of a binge watch.
It was lovely just to sit down and not think of work for a while.
