Happy Birthday to Me

 

I am another year older. Doom.

My amazing boys gave me a lovely birthday.

I woke up early as ever had some coffee and took the dog out for a walk.

It was a lovely morning but very chilly. As I thew the ball for the dog my parents rang to sing Happy Birthday (bless them).

Once I got home the house was awake and husband and son made me a breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Which started a day which was pretty much about eating.

We went into Brighton quite early to beat the crowds. Which turned out to be a mistake because the place I wanted to visit wasn't open.

So we wandered around for a bit and then turned up at our lunch restaurant a bit early.

Our favorite restaurant is Gingerman. Sister in Law is keen we spread our wings so at Christmas bought us vouchers to Tutto. We decided to use them for one of our Birthdays.

I have to say the food was amazing. Great attentive service and sharing plates of loads of yummy Italian food. The plates kept coming and everything was lovely.

My end thought was it was amazing and I will definitely go back, but because you have small plates of all that's on menu you don't have that thought of 'next time I will try'....

So Gingerman still wins.

After that we went back to the shop that had been shut earlier. I had seen a picture last year and had asked for money to buy it as my present.

Sadly it was no longer available. Always a risk. I shall not give up I am going to mail them after I finish this blog. They may have one hidden in the corner. I will let you know if I am lucky.

After we got home I sat on the sofa watching cheesy films drinking prosecco fritz.

That was it really. A lovely day and the boys treated me like a queen.

Back to work today which I dread. Stress has made it a bit toxic at the moment but we are nearly at our goal.

Now we are rat free. Only other thing to mention is the patio. On Saturday I spent about 4 hours decluttering. Cutting everything back and making sure there was nowhere for rats to hide. 

I then sprayed disinfectant on everything. After which I did same in garage where we had created such a toxic environment I also found a dead mouse. Sadly actually it was cute and I wasn't going for them. However, at least we know the rodents have gone.

Now we just need to get somebody in to rebuild our patio. I am quite excited.

Anyway wish me luck I have a shitty week ahead.....
