Feeling Foxy

So uneventful has my life been that I nearly forgot to post this week!

Picture was about 30 mins ago in my back garden. I love foxes and we sometimes get this visitor. He is a very handsome fox - obviously eats well.

Last week was extremely quiet - no great adventures. Head down at work and then telly in the evenings.

In fact an unusual amount of telly in the evenings. I usually watch about 5 hours of telly a week - with perhaps a film on Friday night. However, when I went on my training session I was locked in a hotel room for a week with only 3 channels.

Out of desperation I put on Married at First Sight UK. I was immediately hooked. Coming back home I discover that I have 8 series to catch up on. Plus on top of that Big Brother has started again.

Big Brother is at that jaw breakingly boring period that it is always in the first few weeks, when all the people are annoying and you don't have your head into it. However, I'll stick with it for another week to discover if I've actually developed some sophistication with my television viewing. Though I doubt it - especially with what I just said about Married at First Sight!

Apart from melting my brain with terrible television there is not much to report. I was in a foul mood on Saturday because I bought something online from M&S and didn't select delivery. As a result of which it was sent to a local store. Saturday for me was incredibly busy and in all I had to do I also had to drive through an hour of traffic to pick up the item. Only to arrive there and find out that they had sent me an email to say it was out of stock.

Apart from that joy I also went to have a blood pressure check - at Asda! (it was fine) and then spent about 5 hours cooking for Saturday and Sunday. All in all Saturday was a very sucky day.

In the evening some friends came over for supper and we nattered, although I had to ask them to stop dwelling on all the horrible news from Israel because I needed to shut it out - even if just for one evening. There's so many terrible things happening in the world, if you don't shut them out for a few hours at least it starts to come crashing down on you and it's hard to pull out of it again. I'm still not convinced I've got over COVID and so every other horrible thing since then just adds another layer of gloom on top.

On Sunday my parents came over for lunch. It was lovely to see them, always great company.

The weather also turned on Sunday - definitely getting more wintry - so with just 10 weeks until Christmas (bounce bounce) it's starting to feel more like winter.

I did warn you at the start of the post it wasn't going to be an interesting one. Now you know I wasn't exaggerating that.
