Quiet

After much excitement last week, this week was extremely quiet. In fact the highlight was getting hold of some new baking trays. My old ones were very rusty and unhygienic. I decided to go for stainless steel rather than non-stick as the non-stick don't last in the dishwasher. Let's hope that these work.

I know that was really boring, but I can get more boring..... The trays came with a film over them, I guess to protect them. It's impossible to get off. I'm thinking I may need to cook them and hopefully burn it off, otherwise I'm going to have to pick at it and it's going to take hours.

See, I told you I could be more boring!

A new cleaner arrived on Friday. It was really sad to see our old one go, but she's barely been with us all year. It was no small thing saying goodbye, she's been with us for 8 years and is part of the family. I did say to her that if she is able to come back regularly she just needs to let us know. So hopefully it's not goodbye.

On Friday son was tested for Autism and Dyslexia. I'm not sure what the outcome is yet, I'm really interested to find out. The tests were to prepare him for his GCSE's. Son told me that it's been confirmed he'll get extra time. So something will come back from the tests. To be honest I am on the spectrum and also dyslexic and so it's not a big surprise to me - whatever the outcome is. I'm also not concerned for him, as far as I'm concerned there are millions of people in the world who think the same way - how boring. But there's only one person in the world who thinks like me - this has certainly been beneficial to me in my working life. Though perhaps not socially - in fact definitely not socially!

Then on Saturday - friends came over in the evening as per normal. On Sunday my Mum and Dad came over. It was Dad's birthday weekend, as well as fathers day. I made a paella and had purchased a birthday cake. For ages they've wanted to see Wonka - so we ate on our laps instead of the table and watched Wonka.

After eating, my father, mother and I all took it in turns to fall asleep until somebody prodded us awake again. I'm not sure as a group we were awake for any of the film. Though I love Wonka. I went onto Amazon to see how much the soundtrack was £20!!!!! I will get it, but I refuse to pay that much.

And that really is the sum total of the excitement. Apart from from that it was just work, work, work.
