It was a strange week. I started work on Monday feeling tired but OK. By lunchtime I felt terrible.
I was then laid out with a temperature until Wednesday. On Wednesday evening I started to get bored of doing nothing. So despite the fact I still felt rubbish on Thursday I went back to work.
Thursday was also the general election. Before work I went to the polling station, which luckily is about 200m from home. I put my cross in the box and headed back.
During the day I was up and down. But very phlegmy. This leaves me to believe it is COVID again. Every time I get COVID it hits me like that.
I had wanted to stay up to watch the count but I felt tettible so crashed early. At 02:00 I woke again and wrenched myself up to watch the vote count coming through.
It was an exciting night. There is such a change in the political landscape. Labour won, which will be interesting for son as he has only known a Conservative government in his lifetime. But as well as that lots of new or smaller parties got seats and independents too.
It will be interesting to watch how things move forward.
Then at the weekend I spent most of my time on the sofa feeling sick again. Except for Sunday morning.
At 08:00 I logged on for my speeding punishment. I have moaned enough about getting caught speeding so I will not start again.
The training went on until 11.00. I have to say it was not too bad. Credit to the trainer I would say. He wasn't patronising and the information he shared was useful.
There were actually only two bad things about it. One was one of the other punishees who was determined we would all know he had a Tesla. He must have mentioned it at least 5 times. Yawn.
Then about 30 mins from the end I started feeling really ill again. I had to dig my heels in to make it to the end.
The rest of the day was spent on the sofa feeling sorry for myself.
So keep your fingers crossed with me. I am hoping to be fully recovered soon.
