Oh F*ck!

 The Karma police are really down on my family at the moment.

On Friday the cleaner was in and she left a bin bag on the dining room floor. I turned my back and when I turned around again dog was eating something. I pulled it out of her mouth. It was some left over Christmas pudding from our pre-Christmas get together last week. I immediately went to internet to check 'can dogs eat raisins'. Everything said 'get your dog to the vet immediately'. So I did. The vet gave her something to make her sick. In the sick were 36 raisins. One can kill a dog. She also took bloods.

We took her home and an hour later vet rang to say that the bloods showed kidney problems. We took her to the doggy hospital where she was overnight, they flushed her kidneys and took bloods. She was really upset so when her bloods showed things back to normal they suggested we took her home and then brought her back for bloods on Sunday. We did this. At 8pm I got a phone call to say they'd checked her bloods and her kidney was showing problems again. By 9.30pm she was back in hospital to have her kidneys flushed again.

Right now I'm not sure what the outcome will be. I know we moved quickly and we've done all the right things. She was being sick within an hour of eating the pudding and then we got her rapidly to the hospital to have things flushed.

I'm in an absolute puddle. Dog is a dear little thing but very empathetic, so when I'm with her I have to pretend everything is hunky doory or she'll get worried. Plus I'm doing the same for my son - remember it was only this time last year that one of his friends group committed suicide.

I'm not sure how much more of this I can actually take. The bricks for the wall rebuild haven't arrived. We're losing the battle for the football pitches. It's basically all going to shit in a big way. On top of this remember that sons school fees have gone up 4K, the football pitches will drop the value of our house by about £100K even if we could persuade somebody to want to live by a football pitch. Essentially one way or another the last 4 weeks have cost my family in the region of £110K.

I really hope that the Karma police think we've taken enough now, because what with all that's happened, along with being really stressed at work. I literally think I may have hit a wall.
