Gosh it's Gosport

Going back to valentines I mentioned I created a special supper for husband and son. All they had to do was lay table. We have a very tacky tablecloth with hearts on it.

Unfortunately they shook out tablecloth with such gusto it hit our 25 year old chandelier light. Smashing a shade. I have tried everything to find a replacement.

Husband gets attached to things. I would just replace with new light. He is insisting on hunting for shade. I am going to place my bet that we will have broken light until August. At which point we will replace. Frustrating! Watch this space.

This week we went to meet friend in Gosport. Personally I really like Gosport, but it has a bad reputation. Some of it is run down, but the bits that aren't are gorgeous. It's also safe. Which is important. It's also riddled with history.

Friend has got new partner. They make such a great couple I hope it lasts. It's early days, but the signs are good. They are made for each other.

It was frantic before we went. I got up, walked dog and had meeting about the football pitches with the council. All before 11.00 when we set off.

We had a great natter over lunch then went for a walk. By the time husband and I got home we were shattered.

I ended up asleep on the sofa by 21:00. I can't do these long days any more.

Just realised this is a short post. Just don't feel the writing vibe today. I will try to revisit.
