I nearly saw Tom Davis

On Friday night husband and I went to see Tom Davis at the Dome in Brighton.

Literally moments before it started the tallest widest man sat down on the seat in front of me.

I bundled up my coat to try to make a cushion, but it really made little difference. The support act was Dinesh 'Nathan. I was thrilled as I'd wanted to see him in full flow. I certainly heard him in full flow but as he strode backwards and forwards across the stage I found myself swinging from side to side to try to get a glimpse at him.

Luckily at the interval husband pursuaded me to swap seats with him (love husband), So when Tom actually came on I did get a great view of him.

I have to say both Tom and Dinesh did a great show. One of the best I've been to this year. Partly because the support act was so great (I usually hate support acts).

Then on Sunday my parents came over. It was lovely to see them, especially as - if you go back a few weeks - it was the Sunday lunch with parents I never thought would happen.

Dad's head is looking a lot better they've switched the cover over the wound and it's looking almost presentable now. Next worry is mum going in for a stent on Wednesday, though she's had many of these before so I'm not in the same flap as I was for dad. Though mum seems to be nervous about this one, largely because for the first time they insisted they give a name in case she had a stroke. I can understand her nervousness, that would worry anybody.
